University College Cork

Established in 1845, one of the oldest universities in Ireland. Situated in the western suburb of the city, it is adjacent to Fitzgerald Park and an easy walk to Cork city.

The university has a beautiful and cosmopolitan campus with the Gothic revival style main quadrangle building, modeled on a typical Oxford College, at its centre.

There is also a building called Aula Maxima (Great Hall), which is the symbolic and ceremonial heart of the University.

The grounds of the University are beautiful to stroll around.
